The cinematographer of Vaalu, Shakthi, has been unceremoniously dropped from the project. Shakthi has now committed for Saravanan’s Ivan Veramathiri starring Vikram Prabhu.

This is what Shakthi had to tell to Behindwoods. “I had committed for Vaalu as they had targeted a Diwali release at the time of launch. But the movie hasn't kept to schedules and there have been frequent delays. The producer isn't willing to accommodate my requests and they have also omitted my name from their Pongal ads. I shot for nearly 70 percent of the movie but still they haven’t honored my work. I have decided to lodge a complaint with the cinematographers’ union as they didn’t get a No Objection Certificate from me before giving such ads”

Vincent of Mundhinam Paartheney fame has replaced Shakthi in Vaalu and he has already shot for 2 to 3 days. Vincent's name was listed in the Pongal ads of the movie which has earned the wrath of Shakthi. We have to see how this matter unfolds.
