Sources within the industry have conveyed that the theatrical trailer of Mani Ratnam's Kadal will be shown during the screenings of Alex Pandian, which hits theatres tomorrow. So far only a couple of song teasers have been let out by Madras Talkies.

Ace director Mani Ratnam played his cards close to his chest when it came to revealing the identity of his new hero and heroine, Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair. A first glimpse of both the newcomers came only through the official Kadal posters that were tactfully released.

Fans of Mani Ratnam in Andhra have earned special bragging rights as the filmmaker held a gala audio launch in Hyderabad that took place earlier today and featured the much ‘protected’ leads Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair. Also present was the music director of the film A.R. Rahman along with Arjun and Lakshmi Manchu who play important roles in the film.

The anticipatory yet proud parents, Karthik and Radha, were also present at the event.
