Actor Karunakaran who made a name for himself with his wit and timing in several short films soon made his deserving entry into the big screen through projects made by young directors he had worked with. Karunakaran played important roles in new wave hit films such as Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum.

Karunakaran has more reason to celebrate besides gaining acceptance and popularity amidst the audience, especially for his role as Arumaiprakasam in Soodhu Kavvum. The actor got married recently in a ceremony that was grand and personal at the same time. The newly wed couple was blessed by former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
