World Vision India’s 24 hour Famine Run was held in Chennai recently, which saw more than 700 volunteers and students participating in it. Famine Run is a global campaign that creates awareness about issues related to hunger and under-nutrition faced by children.
 

Actor Arun Vijay took part in the campaign and supported the cause. Talking to the correspondent of Behindwoods, the actor said, “Held the torch and ended the 24 hour Famine Run by World Vision at the beach. It was a great experience being a part of such a noble event and to see so many youngsters participating in the event for creating awareness for malnutrition. I’m also shocked to know that 5000 kids die every day due to Malaria, diarrhoea caused by not taking proper food. All should support such causes, create awareness and help people in getting proper nutritious food."
