Ajith has given his word that he will be lending his support to the Tamil people on the ongoing Sri Lankan issue. In an official statement Ajith has said that he will be participating in the fast that has been scheduled for April 2^nd by the Nadigar Sangam.

The peaceful protest is also likely to feature the big guns such as Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. Earlier, the student community had borne the responsibility to give the movement a huge push and the influential film fraternity too is chipping in with their bit.

Earlier last week the Directors Union went on a day long fast to show their intent in this issue and now the actors are coming forward to show their support and give the movement a sense of high-profile involvement. Since the gathering has been fixed for April 2^nd Ajith has been forced to revise the launch date of the Siruthai Siva project to April 5^th.
