From dream girl to Padma Shri

Yesteryear dream girl Sridevi who made a triumphant comeback to the silver-screen last year with English Vinglish has earned herself the third highest civilian award from the President Pranab Mukherjee. Sridevi who has been conferred the Padma Shri was one among the many recipients of honors that were distributed yesterday.

From the film industry, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore and famed producer D. Ramanaidu each had earned themselves the Padma Bhushan at the same event. Popular Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid too was rewarded with the Padma Bhushan at the same event.
