Maddy was a sailor and now a boxer.

We had reported earlier about Madhavan’s Hollywood project, The Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D. Madhavan was asked how he landed the role in a recent interview for which he replied that anyone could have done the role as they just needed a popular Indian actor. He was happy to have been in the right place and at the right time. However, the actor admits that he was taken on board because of his fluency in English and how he was able to pull off the accent.
 

Madhavan plays the role of a US marine who is deeply in love with his wife. But, the actor holds up his excitement saving it up for the release. When asked why he did not reveal that he was going to do a Hollywood film, he said.
 

“It’s very embarrassing to talk of your own work before shooting for it and even before it is released. I have been a witness to many of our actors turning red-faced after their films release. I’d rather not be there”
 

Madhavan has completed shoot for The Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D and has been roped into a Tamil movie where he plays the role of a retired boxer.
 

He would have a beefed up appearance with long hair and beard in the film. It is said that the actor had undergone rigorous boxing training, under Hollywood experts. The movie, which has not been titled yet, will be directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, a former assistant of Mani Rathnam.
