Breaking : Kamal Haasan to Sarath Kumar

The success of Suriya’s Singam 2 has kindled many other film makers to take a look at their previous projects, which could be made into a sequel. One of them being director A Venkatesh who will be following up his Aei with Aei-2.

The director has confirmed to Behindwoods that he is going to be kicking off proceedings for Aei-2 very soon. The big news is that Sarath Kumar will be seen in 4 roles in this film but the characters will not be related by family. While many actors have donned various looks within a film, Sarath Kumar will be repeating Kamal Haasan's act of playing 4 different characters as he did in the classic Michael Madana Kamarajan.

The director also points out that the film will not have anything to do with the first part, Aei, and neither will it feature Namitha who burst on the scene through that film. This sequel will retain only the services of the editor and the stunt master from the first outing. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be decided.

The team is waiting for Sarath Kumar's dates amidst his busy political career and the film is likely to go on floors in a couple of months. Director A Venkatesh definitely knows how to make a film tick with the audience and with Sarath Kumar in 4 roles Aei-2 could well prove to be a second round of success for the team.
