The recent Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, Neram, another film belonging to what is called the new wave films, had its time at the box office. Distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, the film recently celebrated its 50 days run at the BO.
Directed by Alphonse Putharen, the film featured the young ‘Yuvvh’ pair, Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles and Simhaa, RJ Ramesh Thilak, Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah and John Vijay in other important roles.
Behindwoods has now been informed that director Alphonse Putharen is all set to debut in Bollywood. He will supposedly be adapting Joe Matthew's 2012 Malayalam movie, Shutter for his maiden Hindi project. Later he will also do a remake of his own film, Neram with a leading star cast.
More details about his new ventures are expected in a week’s time.
