Is Dhruva Natchathiram dropped?

Supposed casting and scripting challenges have warranted Dhruva Natchathiram’s commencement to be postponed.

At the moment the industry is buzzing with the news that Dhruva Natchathiram might be dropped. But, in an interview to a daily yesterday, Suriya had categorically stated that he is committed to Gautham Vasudeva Menon (GVM) and denied claims of backing out of the project, and in his own words added that "the script needs some more working on". When Behindwoods got in touch with the prolific director, GVM said that he had nothing further to add to what Suriya had said to the daily.

Suriya - Gautham pairing has always enjoyed a cult following among the movie buffs. This delay with Dhruva Natchathiram has prompted Suriya to jump into action for his project with Lingusamy where the pre-production is in full swing. The crew is planning a 5 day schedule, sometime during mid August to kick start the proceedings.

Behindwoods also got in touch with Lingusamy. "We will be starting the shoot soon in August. The film is as yet untitled but everything is being planned. I will keep you posted on the updates", added Lingusamy. Being one of the top commercial directors of Tamil, there is lot of expectation on his first union with Suriya.
