Just two films old, this
young director has got a
great opportunity to stamp
his presence in Kollywood.
Set in the pre-independence
era, he attempts to recreate
Madras of 1945. An intimidating
task, considering the sea
of change that has happened
since then. One bets that
the movie will be worth
a watch just for the old
world charm of British ruled
Madras. The stills suggest
a very strong role for Arya,
some very turbulent moments
which one will expect in
any movie set in the pre-independence
era. But, the movie is basically
a love story between an
ordinary Indian and a British
lady. Definitely a movie
to look out for.
