AMR Ramesh betrays Veerappan - Event Story

AMR Ramesh, the director of Vana Yuddham, an upcoming biopic on notorious forest brigand Veerappan, summoned a press meet today, 5th February 2013, to officially announce the release date of his film. After being surrounded by controversies for a long time, the ban on the film was lifted by the High Court recently.

Talking to the press, the director announced that the film, after a lot of obstacles, is releasing on 14^th February. “We have been requested to remove certain scenes by Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi and Nakkeeran Gopal. To accommodate those requests we have chopped off few scenes.” said the director. As an add on, the director said that Nakkeeran Gopal was very impressed with the film and supposedly praised the director.

The film, starring Kishore, Arjun, Vijayalakshmi and Lakshmi Rai in leading roles has been certified with a ‘U’ certificate after the requisite cuts. During the press meet, actor Jaya Balan revealed that AMR Ramesh has also enacted a major role in the film. The director supposedly plays the role of Veerappan’s friend, who betrays him at the end.

Akshaya Creations and Sai Sree Cinemas have jointly produced the film and Vendhar Movies is presenting it.
