The Velachery Hospital and Shelter for animals along with the Lions Club organized a puppy adoption camp yesterday. Actress Trisha and Amala graced the function and encouraged people to adopt animals. 58 pets were adopted yesterday during the event at the Blue Cross building.

Amala inaugurated the Lions Humane Education Center and Trisha unveiled the new puppy shelter for the rescued puppies. While talking to the media Trisha requested people to adopt the Indian mongrels, for they are very compassionate and loyal. She also said that they are one of the best guards. The actress herself has an Indian mongrel named as a pet.
