Directors sing praises of Vazhakku Enn 18/9
Top directors of Kollywood sang praises on Balaji Sathivel for his Vazhakku Enn 18/9, during the film’s success meet that happened recently. The event was graced by top notches in the industry including director Barathiraja, Harris Jayaraj, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Samudrakani, ‘Jayam’ Raja, Sasi, R Parthipan, Vikraman, lyricist Arivumathi, music director Vijay Antony, Saravanan, A Venkatesh, actor Sivakumar, Nanda Periyasamy, Subramaniya Siva, Vasanth, RK Selvamani, Pandiraj and Mani Barathi.
Ace director Bharathiraja said, “Vazhakku Enn 18/9 has explored the truth of life and came up with a very strong message. This film is definitely one of the best films in the history of Tamil cinema.”
Gautham Menon praised, “It is truly difficult to speak after watching this film. It has affected me very much. Balaji has brought out a raw truth, but in a subtle way.”
R Parthipan said, “The film has the power to touch all our souls.”
Actor Sivakumar expressed that Balaji has taken Tamil cinema to an international level. He added, “It reminded me of Satyajit Ray films, in which people live the roles, not act. Same could be said for the lead artistes of this film.”
At the end of the event Balaji Sakthivel thanked the audience and media for making this film a grand success. He even prostrated the media, in a gesture to show his gratitude.
