Breaking: Bala – Sasikumar’s title

Bala’s next features Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar in the lead roles, maestro Ilayaraja’s music, Chezhian’s cinematography and Kishore’s editing. The lead actor after a long time has done away with his facial hair and is playing a Nadaswaram expert in the movie. There’s apparently another look for him in the movie, which is yet to be disclosed.
 

Although it is known that the movie is based on Karagattam, the title was kept a secret, until now. After some investigation, we have come to know that the movie has been titled ‘Tharai Thappattai’ for now. ‘Parai’ was also in consideration, but considering the similarity it shares with Bala’s previous title, Paradesi, the team apparently went with ‘Tharai Thappattai’.
