Sasikumar changes university name causing confusion
Jun 27, 2013 Shoots of Sasikumar's Bramman is progressing at the Bharathiar University in Coimbatore. Environmentalists raised protests against the movie's shooting in the varsity because the unit is using generators and lighting equipment. They claim this poses threat to the ecologically sensitive Western Ghats area where the university is located.
It is also learnt that the staffers found it irksome that the main entrance was closed owing to the shooting and they were made to use the second entrance. The university was also transformed into 'Indira Gandhi Women's College' which confused quite a lot of people.
But as per the sources, the shooting is being held only with the permission of the VC who is currently out of the country. The university is also devoid of students since this is vacation time. Bramman is directed by Socrates, Kamal's erstwhile associate. Kannada star Sudeep is also a part of the movie.
