'God of Tamil Cinema' meets 'God of Indian Cricket'

Not one, not two, 25 legends from various fields met on a single stage during NDTV's 25th anniversary celebrations on Saturday. Among them were our very own Superstar Rajinikanth, Mozart of Madras A.R.Rahman, Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, and prominent actress Waheeda Rehman.

 

Superstar Rajinikanth has always been an ardent cricket fan. In fact, he, donning the blue Indian jersey, was seen in India's World Cup matches. According to sources at the said event, he met Sachin Tendulkar and they discussed various matches, India-Pakistan matches in particular. Tendulkar, later said, “It was very kind of him as he came to meet me. I was absolutely floored by his humility and glad that I met him. He is someone I really admire."
