The memorable grand finale of the 100 Years of Indian Cinema Celebration

 

The President honored many legends of the industry such as M.S.Viswanathan, K.Balachander, K.Vishwanath, Amitabh, Anjalidevi, Sridevi among others. Madhavan, Siva Karthikeyan and Chinmayee anchored the grand finale show and they kept the audience in good spirits. Some interesting audio-visuals made by the likes of Madhavan and Venkat Prabhu were among the other highlights of the day.

 

Amitabh shared his profuse appreciation of the entire event and its splendid organization.

 

"What a momentous evening in Chennai, where South Indian Film Industry celebrates 100 yrs of Cinema and felicitates all languages !!  Under the patronage of the CM of Tamil Nadu, Dr Jayalalitha, all elders who have contributed to cinema all over India, decorated ! We in the North and in Mumbai have done nothing on this occasion, but the South does and humbles us all. What a fantastic gesture !!Thank you SIFCC and the CM of T'Nadu, for giving us this honour respect and dignity by the hands of the President of India, no less"
