The mega-budget biopic, Rudramma Devi starring Anushka is in its final leg of production. The film is touted to be the first ever Indian 3D stereoscopic movie and the producers have supposedly spent a massive Rs 120 crores for the making of the film.
 

In order to make the film more star-studded, director Gunasekar had requested Mahesh Babu to do a cameo in the film. Mahesh Babu and Gunasekar had worked together in the super hit Okkadu (Ghilli in Tamil).

When the director asked Mahesh Babu to do a cameo in Rudramma Devi, not only did the hero agree, he also refused to take a penny. In recent times Ajith had also done a cameo for Sridevi in English Vinglish without taking any money.
