Although not a super success, Lawrence's Muni was an average grosser. It was also a thriller - comedy, mostly addressed the kids in the audience and found its foothold among them. Probably encouraged by this, producers at the Thenandal Films seem to have decided to run a sequel for the movie.

Titled Kanchana, the movie will star Raghava Lawrence, Sarath Kumar, Lakshmi Rai and Babu Antony and pick up the story from where it was left in Muni. Kanchana is also likely to feature the mischievous ghosts and their havoc taking advantage of the innocent Lawrence's cowardice. Kids in the audience, as in the case of Muni, are likely to enjoy these scenes.

Kanchana is scored by Thaman whose music for Eeram became a sleeper hit, just like the movie. Kanchana is also directed by Lawrence, who plays the lead and produced by N Radha from Thenandal Films. The movie will hit the screens this weekend.
