At the Aadhi Bhagavan press meet held on Wednesday, director Ameer threw light not just on this ‘Mafioso action love story’ but also on Kannabiran, which was supposed to be the film that Ameer was to direct with Ravi.
Kannabiran's script is about the relationship that exists between a father and his four year old daughter. Ameer had previously acted in a movie called Yogi which also had a similar plot of a ruffian's relationship with a baby that comes into his custody by mistake. Yogi didn't work well at the box-office and as a result Ameer felt that Kannabiran wouldn't be a safe bet.
Hence Kannabiran was kept aside and Aadhi Bhagavan was thus born as a commercial action entertainer.
