Actress Maanu started off her career on a promising note opposite Ajith in Kaadhal Mannan directed by Saran. While things may not have gone according to plan for her in the industry she has pursued growth in her other interests, notably theatre.
Her first production, the first part of a comprehensive trilogy, was titled Bheeshma -The Grandsire and was labeled a huge success. The play was attended by the who’s who of the industry along with Rajinikanth and K. Balachander. Maanu is currently planning on the second episode of her trilogy called Shakuni with a group from Singapore and she intends to stage it by the end of this month. The third installment of the series, Sthree, will follow later.
Maanu says that she has once again invited the presence of top industry people to grace the event and so far K. Balachander and Vivek have obliged. Rajini too has apparently promised to attend the play provided his schedule allows him to.
