Ghilli was a major landmark in Vijay's career in 2004 and till date it ranks as his most popular film among all sections of the audience. This was a remake of the Telugu movie Okkadu which was similarly a major break for Superstar Mahesh Babu.
Now, even Bollywood has expressed an interest in this movie about a gutsy kabaddi player. Arjun Kapoor of Ishaqzaade fame would fill Vijay's boots in this remake and his father Boney Kapoor confirmed this news. Eros International has purchased the remake rights and the remake will start rolling in mid 2013.
The other cast and crew details would be known in the coming months. This remake would be a good platform for the young and talented Arjun Kapoor to establish himself as a dashing young hero.
