Ranbir Kapoor was in top form as his histrionic ability was in full showcase in this beautifully shot movie which featured him as a deaf and mute youngster who believes in living life happily. Ileana made her Bollywood debut in a substantial role and she looked ravishing as well. Priyanka Chopra’s turn as an autistic young woman was dramatic but well executed nevertheless. Pritam was another cornerstone in this movie with his delightful and simple tunes. Despite all allegations of some scenes being lifted from European and Hollywood movies, Barfi was a dreamy experience.
