10. SHUBA PHUTELA

The death of Shuba Phutela made for one of the more tragic moments of 2012 in Tamil cinema. Despite Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakkathilae’s lackluster show at the box office Shuba drew a lot of attention with her endearing looks and affable personality. Sadly, a serious medical condition brought about her demise in October.
