During one of our recent interactions with actor Sudeep, he frankly opened about Puli and also about the qualities that he admires in Ajith.This is what the Kannada Superstar had to say:

Did you regret working in Puli?

"No, regret is a very strong word. I don’t have any regret but I feel that a nice combination was wasted. Vijay and I could have been used in a better way. I personally feel for the kind of fan following that Vijay has and for the kind of films that he makes, I think we could have made a great team. I accepted the film for Vijay. I only feel sad that such a big combination did not click. But the working experience in Puli was beautiful, big sets, star-studded cast, super-duper DoP,  everything was larger than life."

When will you work with Ajith?

"Given a chance, I will definitely act with him because he is, one of my favorite persons. We know each other for a long time. And for 2 years we both used to exchange emails and then our life took two different roads and we lost touch. Not that we were thick friends but we used to share a good mutual respect. To me, he is a very real person who doesn’t  fake anything on and off the screen. It is so amazing to see how he carries himself. On watching his film, I feel he doesn’t expect too much from them and he does what he feels. Moreover, he doesn’t shy away from showing his real age. It takes guts to do that. Every hero including me would want to show them young. I would love to work with Ajith sometime."
