SUDEEP TOWERS ABOVE ILAYATHALAPATHY VIJAY ?

We all know that Sudeep is the lead antagonist in Puli, which hit the screens worldwide yesterday, October 1. He is a major superstar in Kannada and is used to playing lead mass hero roles there. Vijay also has a huge market and fan following in Bangalore and Puli was met with a lot of celebration, fan frenzy, cutouts and banners by his fans, as expected.

 

Interestingly in the popular Nataraj theater in Bangalore, there was a huge cutout not just for Vijay but also for Sudeep, thereby marking a unique occasion when both the protagonist and antagonist in a film were given this 'honor' by their respective fan groups. Also, it seems that the cutout of Sudeep was taller and had more garlands than the one on Vijay. A case of villain besting the hero?
