Many Dhanush fans believe that this film had one of his best performances ever with some suggesting that he deserved a National Award. That statement of his fine performance however stands true through scenes such as the car park brawl where Dhanush becomes possessed with a frightening ferocity. Another memorable performance comes as he writes his suicide note and shouldering the entire scene without the aid of dialogue.
