First two days Idhaba TN Box Office collection report

Not just Kumudha, the entire team of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (Idhaba) must be happy with the BO results. The film opened to a huge expectations and the figures do justify it.
Almost all the screens in Chennai and surrounding witnessed a full house on the first day, October 2nd. The result was similar in other centers in Tamil Nadu too, having released on a Holiday. Here are some reports about the movie's box office collection on the first two days of its release from various parts of Tamil Nadu
Chennai : ~ 69 lacs
With fans reporting difficulty to get tickets even for the early special 8am show in few theaters, thanks to Vijay Sethupathy's growing popularity, the movie got a very strong opening on Oct 2nd. Being a working day, the occupancy fell for the first two shows of Thursday, the Oct 3rd, to again come back to almost full occupancy for the evening show. Idhaba is expected to have collected approximately 69 lacs from theaters in and around Chennai.
Coimbatore : ~ 30 lacs
In the Coimbatore area which includes Erode, Tirupur and Ooty districts, the film was released in 25 screens by Vel films and in the first two days the film has earned around Rs 30 lacs (approx). The happy distributors of this area are planning to increase the number of screens to 40.
Madurai : ~ 18 lacs
On the other hand, Madurai center that includes areas like Dindigul, Sivakasi, Karaikudi, Kumbam, Podi, Aruppukottai, Ramanathapuram, Palani and others, has seen Rs 18 lacs (approx), from the 31 screens. Sri Vaari Films is distributing Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara in these areas.
South Arcot : ~ 17 lacs
Five Star Productions released the film in 17 screens in South Arcot circuit that includes Cuddalore, Pondichery, Chidambaram, Virudhachalam, Bunrotti, Vadalur, Neyveli and others. The movie has reportedly collected a sum of Rs 17 lacs (Approx) from the area.
Tirunelveli : ~ 9 lacs
Sri Gurujyothi Films released the film in Tirunelveli center (Tenkasi, Nellai, Tuticorin, Nagercoil, Kovilpatti, Marthandam and Surandai) in 7 screens and has collected around 9 lacs (approx) in the first two days. Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara opened to a 90% occupancy and the distributors are expecting more crowd during the weekends.
Chengalpet and North Arcot : ~ 69 lacs
Studio 9 released the film in Chengalpet and north Arcot. The film was released in 25 screens in Chengalpet and has garnered an impressive 60 lacs (approx) from the first two days. On the other hand, the film collected a sum of Rs. 9 lacs (approx) from North Arcot, where it released in 6 screens.
Trichy : ~ 25 lacs
Vendhar Movies have taken up the distributions duties in Trichy. Idhaba has collected approximately 25 lacs from 22 screens in first two days.
Salem : ~ 20 lacs
Again Vendhar Movies have garnered approximately 20 lacs from 31 screens in Salem area in the first two days.
Pondicherry : ~ 5 lacs
Pondicherry alone has collected 5 lacs (approx) from the two screens the film was released in.
With no Tamil films releasing this weekend, Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara (Idhaba) is expected to rule the Box Office this week too. The common opinion from the distributors is that the film is doing well in multiplexes and other centers too, which is a good thing.
