PASANGA-2 SONGS REVIEW

The striking innocence of kids and their inquisitiveness is clearly reflected in this country styled number with cool impact of Tamil folk as well.  The layering with mild treble, quirky rhythm and free flow vocals of Yazhini takes the listener back to the happy childhood memories. The feisty trumpets and live drumming adds like an icing on this cake.

This funky composition welcomes the listener to an adventurous world of a growing up kid in an effortless manner. Anand’s effortless rendition is brilliantly balanced by Jazzy piano, syncopated rhythm and has a faint resemblance of 80s retro Music. Yugabharati does a commendable job with impressive usage of words and storytelling narrative.

The emotional dimension of a child is breathtakingly unleashed in this empathetic solo sung by Yazin Nazir.  The dewdrop guitars, classy tune and occasional usage of harmonica is a masterstroke from the composer. The interludes go with the flow of the mood without trying to gather more pace thereby doing amazing justice to this number. In short, this track carries the soul of the album’s theme in great ease.

The album takes a laid back roller coaster ride with this optimistic number topped with symphony string section and untarnished harmonica usage. The funny saxophone is greatly balanced by confident violins during the interludes which take the right path despite few deviations! Anand delivers another winner with his sweet voice.

A fitting finale occurs with a deserving theme song in which the composer chooses an expressive violin as the lead. The faint sounding base makes an unforgettable impact along with timely usage of grand piano- giving an overall symphonic feel. Despite the absence of lyrics or obvious expression, the track conveys a brilliant potpourri of feelings- adventures, challenges, struggles which leads for a highway to success!
