''SURIYA IS A NORMAL GUY''

Karthik Kumar of Veppam fame is awaiting his next release Pasanga 2 which was earlier called Haiku. This film directed by Pandiraj is produced by Suriya for his 2D Entertainment.

Discussing about the film and his role, Karthik says, “The subject matter of Pasanga 2 will be on the lines of Taare Zameen Par but not the story. Most importantly, the treatment would be different. The film is about the struggles of children with learning challenges and the parents of such kids. Bindu Madhavi and I play parents of such a child. The film’s focus will be on the children. It is a tricky subject for Tamil cinema and it has been handled by Pandiraj with an interesting perspective”.

Suriya plays a cameo in the film and on this topic Karthik states, “Most of our scenes in the second half are with Suriya. It was a pleasure working with an actor of such a stature. Technically he is also the producer and he made us all feel at home. He has absolutely no airs about him. He is very down to earth and a very normal guy”.

Karthik is quite excited about the way his career is shaping up with interesting projects and characters. He is a part of films Vellaya Irukkaravan Poi Solla Maattan, Ticket and Vinodhan.
