The underworld action thriller with Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead is Ameer’s venture into commercial cinema. The movie has shades of successful don movies of the past.
While single screens in the city are elbowing out the movie, it is running an odd show here and there in multiplexes.
The movie’s story and the narrative are not convincing enough for the viewer who has already seen way too many movies about dons.

Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan is an action thriller with the director veering away from his unusual stories. The story of a don and a scheming moll, AAB has Ravi and Neetu Chandra playing lead roles.
As patronage plummets, AB’s shows are drastically being reduced pushing the movie into the below average category.
Although Ravi is a versatile actor and can pull off a role like this, it is the movie’s logical loopholes that have proved its undoing.

Ameer usually doesn’t shy away from portraying gritty subjects onscreen, his earlier movies are proof. Aadhi Bhagavan, however, is an underworld action thriller much along the lines of Billa with Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead.
Having opened to average houses, Aadhi Bhagavan is struggling to keep its head above water. Promotions in prominent television channels are trying to sell the movie hard.
Ravi – Neetu’s stunt sequence gains some applause in the theatres.

Aadhi Bhagavan underwent a recent title change to Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan after Hindu religious organizations raised objection to the earlier title. A mafia based thriller, Aadhi Bhagavan has Jayam Ravi, Neetu Chandra and Babu Antony playing significant roles.
Reviews have not been exactly kind to Aadhi Bhagavan so the collections are far from satisfactory. The opening is termed average.
Ravi proves his mettle by carrying off such a heavyweight action movie on his shoulders.
