The spy thriller, partly shot in the US, starts off as a regular family drama and transpires into something bigger and sinister. Kamal, Pooja Kumar, Andrea and Rahul Bose star in Kamal's directorial venture that fetched him more news headlines than probably any of his movies.
This blockbuster has been making good moolah at the box office and multiplexes in the city are still reluctant to let go of the movie.
Much has been said and talked about Vishwaroopam, now it’s time for the sequel to take over.

Kamal’s Vishwaroopam was victimized and stood testimony for the status of freedom of expression in the world’s largest democracy. Otherwise, it’s a tautly written, brilliantly performed and composed movie with one of the finest actors in Indian cinema.
Most likely to be a blockbuster, Vishwaroopam seems to have broken all predictions despite its inordinate delay in releasing after the ruckus. Multiplex audiences are giving the much desired weekend push in collections.
Pooja Kumar and Andrea spread some cheer in the otherwise grim action thriller.

Although any controversy is good controversy for a movie, in the case of Vishwaroopam it seems to have gone on too long. The brilliantly written and directed spy thriller stars Kamal and an ensemble of actors with hummable music thrown in. It finally released all over TN on February 7th.
The hullabaloo has helped the movie gain enough and more publicity mileage, which is witnessed by the overwhelmingly good opening.
With extremely positive reviews and sentiments, the movie is here to stay on the charts for quite some time.
