It is not easy to make one’s debut with a Vijay starrer, Babu Sivan pulled that off with Vettaikaran. It might not have been a classic or a connoisseur’s delight, but it was definitely a decently constructed mass entertainer directed quite obviously at Vijay fans. Nearly 6 months after Vettaikaran hit the screens, we are yet to hear anything about the director’s future plans. He has the eye for crafting the typical Kollywood potboiler and we would be eager to see what he has to offer next time round.
