He created quite a sensation last year with
his debut. It was a product that stood out
in almost all departments, be it the unique
theme, the pace of narration, the cinematography,
editing or music. If any movie deserved to
be called ‘different’ in 2009,
then it should have been this (no disrespect
to other worthy contenders). Now, we are almost
three quarters of a year past its release
and Arivazhagan is yet to give us any clue
about what he is up to next. With talent beyond
doubt and an uncompromising attitude (evident
from the way he made Eeram), he is one director
whom we want to see a lot more of in the future. |
