CHIRANJEEVI DETAINED BY THE POLICE

AP police officials at Rajahmundry airport detained Megastar Chiranjeevi a while ago. This has connection with the ongoing situation in Andhra regarding Kapu reservation.

As per reports coming in, Chiranjeevi along with Congress leader Raghuveera Reddy were on their way to meet the Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabhan, to express their support for the agitation asking the government to award Kapu community a BC status.

It can be recalled that on the 30^th of January, Kapu Garjana held on Tuni had led to a law and order situation wherein many police officers and journalists suffered serious injuries.   

This precautionary measure of detaining Chiranjeevi at the airport has attracted a lot of attention.
