STRONG ACTIONS AGAINST ILLEGALLY HIKED TICKET PRICES

After the four-day strike by theatres in Tamil Nadu, protesting against the municipal tax of the state, shows began from yesterday with an increased revised cinema ticket fare in many theatres across the state.
Addressing a meeting yesterday, Jayakumar, Minister of Finance and Fishing in Tamil Nadu said that strong actions will be taken if theatres charge more than the charges that are stipulated. He also added that there is a six-member committee which would meet every month on a Saturday and would analyze the happenings and submit a report.
