IT IS WOMEN’S WEEK FOR KOLLYWOOD

We are witnessing at least five films releasing every Friday. Looks like this week also, we will be having quite a lot of releases in Chennai. As of present status, there are going to be six films releasing this Friday, 24th of June. Here we present those releases:

1. Amma Kanakku (Tamil)
2. Metro (Tamil)
3. Raja Mandhiri (Tamil)
4. Raman Raghav 2.0 (Hindi)
5. 7 Hours to go (Hindi)
6. Independence Day: Resurgence (English)

Out of these six, two films are headed by female directors (Amma Kanakku by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Raja Mandhiri by Usha Krishnan), which seems to be a healthy growth in Kollywood. Amma Kanakku will be a women-centric film, while Metro and Raja Mandhiri will fall in action thriller and comedy genres respectively.  Raman Raghav 2.0 and Independence Day 2, have got huge expectations from film-goers for its critically acclaimed directors, Anurag Kashyap and Roland Emmerich.
