"SOME OF THEM HAVE BEEN RECRUITING ADS FOR THEIR FILMS"

Shakthi, an associate of director Magizh Thirumeni is an admin of a Whatsapp group called Director’s Club which celebrated its first anniversary on the 20th May. The logo of this group was also launched on this special day.

About this Shakthi says, “This group has more than 100 people from the direction department ranging from assistant director to co-director to associate director. I will be bringing a chief guest who will be an editor, or a director or a cinematographer for an interactive session. I will add the person for the session wherein the group members can talk to the chief guest through voice notes. They can clarify their doubts, discuss matters pertaining to the specific expertise of the chief guest. We have been doing this for the past one year and this has been very helpful. It aids in the training of the assistant directors. Some of the chief guests have been recruiting ADs for their project from this group”.
