According to the latest press reports, admin of popular pirated movie website, Tamilrockers has allegedly been arrested by Tamil Nadu Police Department. Apparently, he has been kept captive at D-1 Police Station, Triplicane in Chennai.
The person who been arrested is named Gauri Shankar. A formal press meet regarding this will be held soon, and we will be able to disclose more details as we get. This sure looks like a major breakthrough in the process of curbing piracy.

Earlier it was informed that one Gauri Shankar claimed to be the admin of Tamilrockers had been arrested, but now the latest reports say a person associated with another pirate website TamilGun has been arrested. We are waiting for more clarity on who has been arrested.
Meanwhile, Vishal who is at Triplicane Police Station met the press to give us few details regarding this issue, "One person associated with website piracy has been kept in custody by the Police. Just give us some time, and we will provide you more details. It is a significant breakthrough, and the Police are investigating right now. So just give me one hour, and I will tell all the details that you need."
