Mankatha Ashwin to grow taller with influence ..

AK Balamurugan from Sea Shore Gold Productions banner and R Balagopi present 'Thiri', a film directed by debutant Ashok Amirtharaj.

Thiri is a commercial entertainer starring Mankatha fame Ashwin Kakumanu, Swathi Reddy, Jayaprakash, Karunakaran and AL Azhagappan in the lead roles. The word Thiri symbolizes influence.

When asked what the film is about, director Ashok said, ''The film dwells on the universal fact on how parents ultimately influence the path of their ward's life. Proverbs such as 'Like father like son' inspired me and the knot was born there''.

He added, “Drafted with a fast paced screenplay that would engage the audience, Ashwin Kakumanu plays a role which is very different from his early films. I am sure that after this film 'Ashwin' will grow taller''.

’Sathuranga Vettai’ fame KG Venkatesh handles the camera and Raja Sethupathy is editing it. Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics for SS Thaman's music. Thalapathy Dinesh is designing the stunt moves for the film.
