Vijay Sethupathi in this 'sequel by spirit'

One of the unexpected films that made it big in the silver screens 2 years ago was Soodhu Kavvum. It paved the way for many new-wave films. Director Nalan Kumarasamy is reportedly out to make a trilogy based on crime, noir comedy and cynicism. His upcoming project Kai Neelam is reported to be a sequel in spirit to Soodhu Kavvum.

The shooting of this film is likely to start from April and we hear that Vijay Sethupathi is yet again playing the lead role. With Santhosh Narayanan's music, Dinesh Krishnan's cinematography, Vijay Aathinathan's art direction and Leo John Paul's editing, C.V.Kumar would be bankrolling this venture under his Thirukumaran Entertainment banner.
