SIMBU VS DHANUSH, BATTLE NUMBER 3

Though Simbu and Dhanush share a very good rapport off the screen, on field they are still considered to be competitors. Both Simbu and Dhanush started their film career (as hero) pretty much around the same time, with Kadhal Azhivathillai and Thulluvadho Ilamai, both releasing in 2002.

There are a couple of occasions when their films have clashed at the box office. The first of their clash took place on the 14^th of January, 2004 when Dhanush’s Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan and Kovil were released alongside biggies like Kamal's Virumandi.

Their second on-field battle happened on the very same year when Manmadhan and Dreams were released on the 14^th of November. Now that Dhanush’s Maari and Simbu’s Vaalu are likely to be released on the same day, the 17th of July, it would be their 3^rd on-field clash.
