BALU MAHENDRA'S WIDE COLLECTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF STUDENTS

There is a new value addition to the BOFTA facility in Chennai, in the form of the Balu Mahendra Knowledge Center which is a big repository of books that the legendary director used to have, and also his film scripts. There is a wide genre of books and a lot of world classics written by many acclaimed authors. All this promises to be of great benefit to the students who have enrolled at the institute.

 

Mr. Dhananjayan Govind told us that the director's family members agreed to this initiative, showing a large heart. They had plans to start a library dedicated to Balu Mahendra's literary collections but offered them to BOFTA as a nice gesture.

 

Director Vetrimaaran and veteran actor Nasser were there at the inauguration function where Mrs. Akila Balu Mahendra was the chief guest. Mr. Dhananjayan was also at the event.
