Avengers: Age of Ultron has netted around 10.85 crores in India on Day 1

Just a few weeks back, Furious 7 released all over the world to a rousing response. In India, the film was a hurricane at the box-office grossing well over 100 crores while the global gross has soared past 1 billion USD. The film continues to do great, though on reduced shows due to the other new releases.

Now, another Hollywood action blockbuster is taking the Indian box-office by storm, in the form of Avengers: Age of Ultron. This superheroes ensemble film and the second edition of the Avengers, has reportedly netted more than 10.85 crores on its first day (a normal non-festival day), the 24th of April and it is seeing housefull shows all over, including its regional language versions. At the end of the first 2 days, the Indian box-office net is reported to be a whopping 22.80 crores.

The curiosity to see this film is on a real high and we can expect many more full shows as the summer holiday season for kids has kicked off in full swing.

Leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted in perspective.

"2015 should be a landmark year for Hollywood films in India. 4 weeks ago #FastAndFurious7, now #AvengersAgeOfUltron conquers BO.

While Hindi film biz has plummeted considerably, Hollywood is cementing its status. Bollywood, it's time to wake up and smell the coffee!"
