Will Kaththi be declared a BLOCKBUSTER?

Kaththi has entered the 3rd week of its theatrical run and the film has so far enjoyed a very smooth passage, with competition from just Poojai in Tamil. Tomorrow, a couple of noted films, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja and Jai Hind 2, would be releasing in sizable number of screens and Kaththi, Poojai would be experiencing intense competition all over the state.

 

But despite the new releases, Kaththi would continue to hold on to the big screens in the major centers. For example in Chennai city, many big screens like Devi, Sathyam, Abirami 7 Star, Udhayam, Sangam, Albert, Woodlands, S2 Theyagaraja and Kamala would continue to screen Kaththi in the 3rd week as well. The film is expected to lead the collections chart by far, in the coming weekend's box-office report as well.

 

So far this year, Dhanush's VIP is the only movie which has been declared a blockbuster in Behindwoods' Chennai city box-office reports. Will Kaththi get this elusive tag? Stay tuned to this space to know more.
