Will Karthi's Madras release as per plan?

Madras directed by Pa.Ranjith of Attakathi fame and produced by Studio Green has all plans to hit the screens on 26^th September. The film features Karthi and Catherine Tresa in lead roles with quite a lot of newcomers as supporting cast.

When the film is all set to release, it has been said that the producer of a film called Karuppar Nagaram has filed a case against Madras, stating that it is a copy of their film.

However sources close to Madras team reiterate that the two stories are totally different. While Karuppar Nagaram deals with football, Madras is about wall painters and the life of people in North Madras. Sources also claim that there is no proof or evidence behind such false claims and that such cases are mainly foisted by people to get their 'two minute' fame.

Meanwhile the hearing of the case has been posted for 22^nd September and the court has asked the explanation from the producers of Madras. We will keep you posted.
