Shruti Haasan begins work on A.R.Murugadoss' story

Shruti Haasan is back to her work routine after recent issues regarding her personal life and health. Today, 8th Jan, she has reported for duty in Mumbai on the sets of Gabbar, the Hindi remake of Ramana, starring Akshay Kumar in the male lead.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures are jointly producing this remake, which was a memorable film in Tamil. A.R.Murugadoss directed the original and Vijayakanth played the lead role in this 2002 super hit which is among the all time favorite vigilante movies. The same movie was also remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi in the lead.

Gabbar is set for release towards the end of the year for Christmas.
