Change in name avoids confusion

The R.S.Infotainment project initially titled Illa Aanalum Irukku has undergone a name change. The film will henceforth be officially referred to as Yaam Irukka Bayamey. Producer Elred Kumar, the man behind movies such as Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Bana Kathaadi and more recently Ravi K Chandran’s Yaan, has provided a platform for several new technicians to make a mark with this project.

Directed by Deekay, a former assistant of K.V.Anand, the film stars Krishna, Rupa Manjari, Aadhav Kannadasan, Karunakaran and Oviya. The story is set around the concept of fear and the idea is said to be presented in a unique way. Yaam Irukka Bayamey kickstarted proceedings in Nainital, where a large part of the film was shot, and now with the shooting complete the project is in its post-production stages. Producer Elred Kumar is confident that the film will earn its place with the audiences this year.

The change in title may also have been to avoid any confusion with a film of similar title – ‘Irukku Ana Illai’.
