Kaththi betters Thuppakki and Jilla

Kaththi, the Ilayathalapathy starrer hit the screens yesterday the 22nd October on the festive day of Deepavali. The film is garnering good response among Vijay fans and among the common audience too.

 

 

The theme of foreign investment in Indian soil and the pitiable state of farmers dealt in the film is something very pertinent and relevant in today’s times.

 

 

Kaththi directed by A R Murugadoss has had a massive opening and if early reports are to be believed, the first day collections are said to be 35% to 40% more than that of Thuppakki. However, we at Behindwoods will come up with the confirmed numbers in one or two days time. 

 

 

Another interesting information about Kaththi is that it has also got its tax exemption owing to the U certificate from the Censors. It has to be noted that although Vijay’s last film Jilla got U from Censors, it is yet to receive tax benefits. This would also be an advantage as far as the collections are concerned.
